Frequently Asked Questions

Can I go through the Discovery Experience even if my family is not ready to join me?

Absolutely! Your increased well-being will enable you to be a more effective advocate for the process with your family when they are ready to engage.

What is the fee for the Individual Discovery Experience?

Our all-inclusive fee is $1,200 for this professionally guided process. You receive three sessions with your Guide, two assessments, and two carefully designed resources; the Reflections Survey and Action Plan. Our fee comparable to multi-session consulting or coaching packages you may have reviewed. If you are in great need of our services but require a partial scholarship, please email us with your request. We allocate a portion of our time and financial resources to help those in need.

What is the fee for the Family Discovery Experience?

Our fee is $1,200 per family member for their Individual Discovery Experience PLUS a one time set-up fee to prepare the family and the facilitator for the family conversation. Our set-up fee varies depending on family size or complexity. On average our set up fee is around $2,500 and includes valuable insights from our Senior Strategic Advisor and Learning Director. We also prepare a Family Discovery Tree graphic and other resources for the family.

Will you collaborate with my other Advisors and Consultants?

Yes, we know first hand the power of collaboration. Just let us know who to call and your expectations and guidelines for working with your other advisors.

For example, your advisor, especially if they referred you to us, may facilitate your family conversation. Our set up fee will include preparing them to lead the discussion. If you do not have an advisor who will facilitate then you can expand your engagement with Family Tapestry, and we will provide facilitation services. Our facilitation fee is determined by time required and reimbursement for travel expenses.

“Reinforced my resilience”

What I learned about myself through the Discovery Experience™ reinforced my resilience to complete my studies and choose an area of specialization that fit best with my strengths and style. I found the Discovery Experience to be most helpful in my medical program search, job search, and interview process. The experience highlighted for me what my greatest strengths and weaknesses were, but also gave explanation regarding how those strengths and weaknesses applied to real life work environments. I was given a list of work environments I would thrive in, and environments I would find challenging. It even highlighted employer personality types I would work well with. This helped me tailor my interviews and ask the right questions to find the best program and employer fit for me. It also helped me find out more about myself which helped me personally in my family and close partner relationships.

All in all, I highly recommend this program to anyone in a life stage that requires learning more about themselves, improving the quality of their relationships, increasing confidence during interviews, and articulating one’s attributes in a way that provides accurate representation to a program, field, individual, or potential employer.
