Renee’s serves Family Tapestry as as our Managing Director, a great fit with her model role of coordinator, one who facilitates and harmonizes joint action.
She earned a Master’s degree in Organization Development and Change Management and applies insights from ongoing training and academic study to reinforce the effectiveness of our Discovery Experience™.
Renee’s commitment to serving as a Discovery Experience Guide began more than 10 years ago. First helping her own family of three daughters, seven siblings and 23 nieces and nephews leverage resources to deepen understanding, and to engage in a facilitated family conversation at their annual family gathering in Mid-Michigan. She aligned with Bill and Will to serve other families through Family Tapestry with the same level of care she brings to her own.
It may be helpful to know, Renee is also a Certified Financial Planner™ professional with a solid foundation in financial wealth management and estate planning. However, her focus is on collaborating with other advisors to help them help families leverage their financial capital to enhance well-being by developing the family’s human capital.

Bill is the Founder and Designer of The Family Tapestry Discovery Experience™. His model role is catalyst, one who provokes or speeds up significant change or action. Bill also describes what we do as creating a catalytic moment, a spark, for your family continuum.
Bill excels in the language of metaphor and uses this skill to enrich the design of each family’s unique Family Discovery Tree Tapestry. He is also the master weaver who brings the individual discovery threads together into recognizable patterns and themes for the family discussion.
Bill has 20 years of experience as a Senior Administrative Officer with Princeton University, and is a Colonel, United States Army, Retired.
Will Hughes

Model Role: Surveyor
Will guides individuals through their Discovery Experience™. His model role is surveyor, one who examines in a graceful, comprehensive way. He is deeply committed to helping individuals and their family engage in impactful conversations. Will has a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling, and prioritizes researching resources for Family Tapestry and the families we serve. Will is confident helping individuals approach conflict from a different perspective, one of curiosity. He shares a brief article with some insights on the FAQ page of our website. He is especially focused on encouraging the 12 to 25 age group, the rising generation. Will is also an experienced chef and amateur mycologist.
